The Shops at Liberty Place is an urban retail center located in the heart of the Center City shopping district. The objective of this project was to create an eye-catching “Instagrammable” design to increase the number of Philadelphia visitors and locals.

In collaboration with Drexel University members, this mural combines the popular Philadelphia motifs (Liberty Bell, Rocky Statue, Philly cheesesteak, etc.) with those of The Shops at Liberty Place (shopping bags, logo, retail slogans) in a modular grid system with free-form images and words that float through the space. By integrating a playful color palette with original illustrations into the mural, we were able to reflect the vibrance of the city culture and the inviting experience of what the urban shopping center offers.
