The project began with the question: What does reflection mean to us?
This question led to an exploration of its many interpretations, from tangible symbols such as treasure to broader abstractions like culture.
Through this process, the team identified a unifying concept, the mother of pearl, as a metaphor that embodies their essence and anchors the visual direction.
Nearly 600 films were submitted from around the world. The event attracted over 1,000 attendees across six distinguished art and cultural venues in the Greater Philadelphia area, including Moore College of Art and Design, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Asian Arts Initiative, Vox Populi, Rail Park, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
